Today's Blind Items-The Oscar Winner
In a few weeks, the Oscar winner will be announced for this category. Some people are saying the fix is in and it is all about money. There is a huge flick opening not that long from now and instead of spending all their money on advertising the film the right way, this studio is trying something different. There have always been campaigns that take out ads and of course, some not so quiet arm twisting to get people to vote a certain way. This time though, there is a ton of money being tossed around and favors being returned. One of Hollywood's top publicists has not been hired to promote the category by the studio that made the nominated movie where the category resides. Nope, he is being paid by a studio that has an upcoming movie starring the nominated person. He also has had a long time sexual relationship with the nominee. The movie and performance are not that great, but there is so much money at stake for the studio who financed the upcoming movie that they have paid out almost $1M so far with another $1M-2M earmarked just so they can throw Oscar winner in the advertising for the new movie. No expense has been spared including a relationship that everyone laughs at behind the scenes. This is not about that actor that everyone thinks is gorgeous and has his own conspiracy.

Oh great guess! It is a costly sci fi movie that has been postponed 3x which is NOT a good sign so they need it to succeed badly, I like

Jupiter is opening next week or so. That’s before the Oscars and the BI says they’re trying to publicize the next movie as "starring oscar winner....”. So it’s not Jupiter, that it’s been said is terrible and it could eclipse Eddie’s lucky star. But this BI it’s not about Eddie IMO

I read and re-read the clue several times. This is about an actor nominated THIS year? Otherwise, I thought it was about a certain studio looking to promote an upcoming big movie with an Oscar winner with a secret. If THAT were the case, I'd say Disney with "Tomorrowland" and George Clooney. Carry on...
Except that The Avengers needs NO HELP getting people to see it--it's already talking about breaking Box office records- it has Downey Jr,Hemsworth,Scar-Jo, Chris evans etc.
Eddie is the only actor that fits. Marvel would never in a million years spend money Oscars, they're too cheap. Never bothered before, they're not going to start now.
This also explains how Eddie managed to win sags. Micheal should have been a given, Eddie's so young to win an Oscar.

Eddies performance in TToE is outstanding and he committed to the role 150% he deserves the Oscar. The 1 thing wrong of many from this blind.
yeah, but Kevin's BROTHER IS!!-- Stephen Huvane @ SLATE P.R.-- would totally be Eddie's lover & do this sorta behind-the-scenes crap--so @Tricia was on the right track.
The betting markets have already adjusted as well. A week or two you could have gotten value on Redmayne to win. Now he is the favorite. I hope it is not him. And sorry Caitlin, Keaton was better and I didn't think it was close. Trying 150% is not enough to win.

Serena won't open in that many theatres and already has an Oscar winner, Jennifer Ilaw. Steven huvane couldn't even get jennifer aniston an Oscar nomination. He's not gonna get Bradley an Oscar. Jupiter ascending opens soon but opens internationally later, where it's probably going to make its most money and where it needs to make its money. It's def Eddie.

I read a revealed blind item that BCoop was gay...The blind item never said that the publicist was of the opposite sex, and that could explain the laughable relationship between BCoop and Suki Waterhouse.....Because wasn't BCoop not nominated for Golden Globe but then came the Oscar nom?.....

My problem w/Cooper guess is that it doesn't make sense Budget Wise! It only was 25-30 million to make(they've gotten almost 4 million back in box office in its France opening(incl. a lil' fr:British Film Fest).
On other hand,'Jupiter Ascending' went overbudget from est. $175 Million to actually almost $200+million which,w/the general panning it's already gotten will totally Bomb-alotta Money for Studio to lose & so it's worth hiring a publicist 1-3million to have 2015 Academy Award Winner in his newest Film--Its All About the Returns ,the $$$!!!

I've seen Redmayne in several things. He is always good and very easy on the eyes. He dated that woman for a very long time before marriage. He's going to have a very long and very awesome career.
No one wants to win this way. If the studio is doing this, I hope it backfires.
Jupiter comes out 3 weeks BEFORE the Oscars. So, not creepy Redmayne.
@H2O, I totally agree w/you in the real world-I've always liked him-I loved 'Birdsong', My Week w/Marilyn' et al. & he was great in TTOE too. -I know he's dated Hannah for a long time-personally.i answer the BIs w/the 'rumored' & innuendo stuff-75% which I don't believe-I don't even bother calling B.S. on em anymore b/c there are sooo many.(ie Idina Menzel only eating Ramen noodles in previous Blind,LOL) I just have fun guessing & finding certain 'info' backing my guesses.. Ya cant take a lot of these seriously.
I like scifi, but this movie does not look good. When I saw Sean Bean, my first thought was "How far into the movie does he die?"

Jupiter Ascending opens everywhere in the world on the Feb 5th weekend, except for Austraila/New Zealand, where it opens on the 19th. Still before the Oscars.

It's Cooper. The "Serena" budget might be small, but if he and JLaw are BOTH Oscar winners, maybe the producers figure they can spin this into major profitability. The BI doesn't say the upcoming movie is in budget danger, just that they're willing to spend to make money.
And yes, as usual for Cooper blinds (the one about the desert, for example) there's no gender details to cover the gay aspect. Him and Steven Huvane sounds like a good match…much better than he and Suki "Ooooh, Cara, yes!" Waterhouse, anyhow.
yup..as I thought about it, the sudden surge in American Sniper Attn. & his nomination for the Oscar(which I DO think is deserved,btw) after he was being kind of brushed off before & the laughable relationship w/Suki & how it would be a great way to get a great return on a mediocre movie & the timing of the releases =Bradley

Most likely this is Bradley Cooper. Serena is being released this February, after the Oscars I think.
This blind is confusing, it says huge film. But Serena isn't a huge film. It fits both Eddie and Bradley. Enty needs a proof reader. Seriously. No joke.
