This now out of work actor who just had a very long running hit network television show end definitely had time on his hands to help a stranded motorist. Our actor, despite recent surgery helped push a stalled car off the freeway. A California freeway which is always dangerous. With cars flying by, there was the actor making sure everyone was safe and the car to the side of the freeway before heading out.

Nathan just had shoulder surgery.
But if Nathan is the devil incarnate why would he help people in his condition? Makes one question exactly how much he was involved in that firing.
You can be an asshole to people you don't like and still help out people in trouble.
That said, I don't buy any of the "feud" drama. I think it's fan generated.
Meant to mention that Charlie Sheen is known to help out people and strangers he sees in need.

met him at a comic con, he is charming and generous irl. He got pissy on Castle because he was the title character and sharing too much screen time. No one is perfect.

There was a blind I read years ago when Castle first started - apparently Stana was being a total bitch to everyone on set & he told her to cut it the fuck out. I always thought it was widely known they didn't get along & that was the reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He was on OLTL for years as Joey Buchanan and was adored by the cast. He's never once not sing their praises and came back when the show ended while doing Castle. Two or three of his former costars were even on the show ... the only awful thing I ever seen about him is his shitty taste in girlfriends (his gf is Krista Allen way after she left Days of our Lives)
