as i wrote here a couple of months ago,I couldn't get thru a full episode of "Vinyl"...and I DID give it more than one try bc so many people really did like it; I figured I just caught an off one... I chalk it up to simply a case of different tastes.
I'll probably stick to Showtime and Ray Donovan

i looooved the 1st season of Penny Dreadful!-My commitment to it waned 2nd Season & definately the 3rd (& final)Season but I just binge-watched the 3rd to it's conclusion -I was just so impressed with Eva Green's performance-she just drew me in- so I had to find out what happened to her character! (i really DO have a life outside of celluloid,btw.)

Agree - Vinyl was a total mess. What a waste of some good actors/actresses. It jumped the shark in the first or second episode when he killed that guy.
Penny Dreadful was wonderful. Excellent performances and very good writing.

The thing is--they had announced before the last 2 shows aired, it had been renewed. Today they changed their minds.
