It's pretty sad that I saw this reveal then went to google to see if she died this morning while I was out. In any case Enty's 2 favorite sources differ: The Enquirer says she's dying from drug use and yesterday the DM says she looked "pretty chic" out with the kids.
The DM was also gushing over Lilo's beach body days ago.

They have been killing AJ since forever. I don't get it, maybe it's the money, she just gets phenomenal drugs, or she is the world's best functional drug addict but if the long standing rumors of her heroin use are to be believed mama would have been dead a looooooong time ago. She seems too smart for this. She does philanthropic work and is a mom, I wonder if it's just poor health and not drugs.
I always just thought she was way too controlling about what she ate....either way, whatever it is...I wish her better luck. she deserves to feel healthy and she does have all those kids who deserve to have their mom for life.
She never had cancer-ever. Not breast or ovarian. What she mentioned in her interview about having her ovaries removed was a benign cyst and many women get this. She an actress on drugs who is used by the UN . That is all.
There are many functioning addicts. I knew a guy who was on heroin and then began using methodone under supervision of a Dr. He stayed on that until he died at 67. Yes , even when he did get cancer in his late 50's and and worked every day of his work week in a high functioning physical job up until 1 week before he died. They keep going because the drug keeps them going and he was all bones just like her. Why do think she ALWAYS has someone with her ? It is to watch over her. It is sad. I would not be surprised if Pitt is using too.

Addicts do not have the luxury of reason . It is an illness . It takes them over, just like any other terminal illness can. It has nothing to do with being smart.
I agree. I don't think her physical frailty is due entirely to drug use. I'm sure that's part of it, but I'd be amazed if she didn't have an eating disorder.
She has a genetic pre-disposition for cancer, not cancer.
It's not at all true about drugs causing any kind of recurrence.
Drugs neither cause nor exacerbate any kind of cancer. Period.

I work in the field and it is just my personal observation. Meth, coke and Heroin use along with tobacco is the worst. Some are reslient but others not so much.

Anecdotal observations do not equal science. I work specifically in cancer research and it's especially irritating to me when untrue statements are presented as absolute because it quite literally negates some of my own, personal work.
So, tell me - in what capacity do you work in the field and how much experience with the science of cancer do you have?

I'm thinking drugs for her. Prince's lithe body and behavior had me fooled. She had mentioned this dark and terrifying episode of her life as being over...perhaps that video release a few years ago had her relapse. Who knows maybe surgery led her back down the path or she was never off but on some prescription drug...But drugs and maybe an eating disorder i think it is.
Tell ya what, why don't you have a family of six kids, a film career, a directing career, a writing career, a philanthropic career, and see how fat you get. She wakes up in France, has lunch in Rome, dinner in London. This is one of those stories I cry foul on. Just don't buy it with all those kids she'd be using. I just don't. She may have an eating disorder and maybe cancer, but I don't think she's using. Not impossible but would be shocking. But what's even more disturbing is the criticism of her doing the right thing to avoid cancer- the hysterectomy and mastectomies. Wtf is wrong with people. Her whole family got wiped out from ovarian cancer. Mother snd aunt. She had a much higher risk of being the same so she had the surgeries so her kids wouldn't lose their mom young. Seriously. Hope none of you ever have to face the BRCA gene or that family history. Wtf. For the haters, Google Pierce Brosnan's daughter and her mother and aunt. Had the daughter had that surgery, her kids would still have a mom. Prophylactic surgery. Jesus.

A lot of addicts are high functioning, and it was long rumored she was treated for her addiction with methadone or similar drugs. You don't really ever get over being an addict, so being back on heroin or other opiates is very common actually likely.

I always thought she was just on some STRONG fat burners/diet pills or the Rachel Zoe skinny cocktail of pills.
I research cancer and i would say that while it might not directly cause it, it could break down the body's chemical balance and other issues that might not help. But would agree, because not many drug addicts die of cancer.
That's considered prudent for women who carry the genetic anomaly that indicates they're more likely than not to develop cancer. No one's ripping out reproductive organs on demand. Genetic testing and counseling are required.
Science, it's a thing.
They're a tough crowd to study - also a vulnerable population, as far as human subjects protections go.
Thank you for writing this, im a recovered heroin user (5 years using/10 years sober) and i just recently told my primary care dr about it because ive been so nervous about what long term damage ive done to myself. I can find nothing about if it increases cancer risk, if my kidneys are just going to shrivel up n fall out of my back someday. Its all just about if youre still using. My dr had nothing to say to me about it beyond being really surprised, and immediately put gloves on(im clear of any sort of diseases, so that was just so *great*). Could you post a link or email me, that would be great. And thank you for your research.
AJ's elevated cancer risk was very real, and her prophylactic mastectomy and hysterectomy/oophorectomy were entirely reasonable, given her genetic predisposition. I don't buy the drugs angle, either. Stress and eating disorder, yes (she has a tattoo on her abdomen that says "that which nourishes me, also destroys me" - a common phrase in anorexia). Drugs, no.
I dont think there is anything wrong with her having the surgery, Every woman should be able to make that choice to save their own life.
but I dont think she is off dope...I think it helps her with her ana, helps her starve...viscious cycle..she probably goes thru phases..

Her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother all died of ovarian cancer. Her cousin, aunt, and great-aunt died of breast cancer. Her uncle and grandfather died of cancer as well.
She ain't no saint, but with that kind of family history prophylactic treatment to prevent cancer is not an insane act.

If you are a drug addict and/or anorexic then why bother with a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy if you are so concerned about "being around for your children" yet clearly she doesn't care enough. I do wonder if she uses certain drugs prescription or other wise to help her thin. Anorexia is going to kill her first and if she is using drugs, then its 50/50 which will kill her first, way before cancer would have at this rate.
