Blind Items Revealed #1

March 20, 2017

It turns out there is not just one, but at least two adoptions that were pushed through illegally by this actress and several that were caught by authorities before they could be completed because of irregularities.

Hmm..I wonder what can be done at this point. No one would want to disrupt the lives of those children.

I get the feeling the kids NEED to be disrupted. She's horrible. I think she's neglectful, still on drugs and has severe mental health issues that make her an unfit mother. Those kids would be better with Brad and his family and that's what I hope happens. I hope the truth about precious Angie comes out and she's never allowed near the children again.

Meh. The kids have a better life with her. They look happy and well loved.

I'm just glad I'm not the one who has to make that call. Can't be easy - and it wouldn't be private.

What exactly is "the truth about Angie", as you think it is?

Wow. Tell us how you REALLY feel.

When rich celebs want kids from third world countries it only helps the kids. Any fuss raised is probably from some govt official that got shorted in the payoff.

Madonna does this too it is alledged. Meanwhile parents who aren't rich and famous have to go thru hoops and wait years to adopt the way these 2 do.

Madonna owns this thread.

Basically, it is harder for everyone, rich or middle class, to adopt American orphans than it is to adopt from overseas. There is a tremendous amount of red tape to go through in this country and even then an adoption is not guaranteed to stick. I think there are less hoops for everyone when they adopt from crisis countries (starvation, war, famine)

It's very difficult to adopt overseas if you aren't rich, just because It takes time and money to do it.Angelina wouldn't have a chance of adopting from an agency given her drug history and mental issues, which are well documented. Do we think it's acceptable to buy children because the parents are from a poor country?

I agree there. The minute the bio parents find out their kid was adopted by a rich celeb, they become a fly in the ointment.

RenShaw said...

At this point, all those kids are old enough to verbalize what they want. Any kind of reversal would be harmful to them.

I would have guessed Madonna.

wish her and madonna would be dragged publicly for this.

But once you are wealthy, it's a piece of cake and the whole process just flows like water (I'd know because I live in a developing country where corruption is huge—not to mention what's considered "pennies" go a long way in less developed parts of the world).

And yet, Angie's remarkably functional for supposedly being a heroin addict for the last...what, 20 years? I get that she's polarizing, but come on. Even a hater has to admit that she's nowhere near is fucked up as she's supposed to be.

Scandi Sanskrit said...

Boo. You'd have no idea what "horrible" is until you've actually lived in the countries where those children came from.

Hortensia said...

Even an average person needs $$$$ to pay off people in developing or repressive countries in order to adopt.

Exactly, it's a systematic "government/police corruption" thing rather than a reflection on the adoptive parents' morals.

On the other end of the spectrum, there are pedophiles who bribe the local police to get away with what they do (now THAT is what a bad person would do to exploit the system). How horrible is adopting children to let them have a decent childhood.

I disagree - it's may be harder to adopt a white, drug free newborn in the US than getting an overseas adoption done.
If you are willing to work with local child protective services and adopt a minority sibling group with some issues, you have to go through 30 hours of classes, background check and a home study.
Granted, we were already certified to foster, but we let it be known to our case manager that we were interested in adopting infants and had our twins within a month or so. Our county also has an annual "Adoption Day" every November where court costs are waived for adoptions through foster care. Our fostering agency paid for the home study and we only had to pay for the required fingerprinting. The twins' parental rights were already terminated, so it was low risk as far as that goes.
My next door neighbors actually had a placement before their foster certification came through. They adopted three siblings, the oldest just turned 4. One of the kids is ID, but that wasn't a big deal for them. They were willing to work the system and now they are a family.
Lots of people don't want to adopt locally because of drug involvement, etc, but you have no guarantees if you adopt internationally that you get what you pay for.
