I understand why, if there were toxic fumes you wouldn't let professional animal rescuers inside the burn zone to find people's lost pets. But, despite what those in charge are saying, there are no toxic fumes and every politician who has taken a photo op tour through the zone hasn't bothered to wear a mask, so where are the fumes? Why not let people reunite with their pets? Wasn't there a law passed after Katrina to prevent just such a thing.
