Tyra Banks Tries To Play The Martyr Game...And Loses
In an interview with Essence Magazine, Tyra Banks tries to get us to feel sorry for her and forget that she is fact a world class spoiled jackass.
"I'd go to work [on 'The Tyra Banks Show'], and women would be crying in my arms. But then I'd go home and put my key in my door and … nothing. No friends, no husband, no children. I feel so full when I'm at work but so empty when I come home."
Well maybe if you first started treating your employees like human beings that would be a good first step. Maybe if you were not so mean to every person you have ever met in your entire life who couldn't help you get a step ahead would be a good second step. Maybe if you dated guys who were under the age of 50, and had less than $50M in their bank accounts that would be a good third step. Maybe if you spent less time complaining, and more time doing, that would be a good fourth step.
Hell Tyra, by the time I'm done we could have a whole 12 Step program all here and ready for you. Not that it would do any good. Have you ever wondered why you don't have any friends? Have you ever wondered why no one ever wants to hang out with you a second time unless they are getting paid for it?
I'm not saying Tyra is the only person or celebrity who acts this way, but what sucks is her giving an interview to a national magazine and trying to get us to feel sorry for her actions which caused the result. Woe is you Tyra? I don't think so.

Yeah, Tyra needs to get over herself (fat chance). Then again, you can be sure the "woe is me" quote has more to do with appealing to her demographic than any actual truth. Bet that journalist was cobbling together quotes to make Tyra sound sympathetic...

I don't pay much attention to her. I didn't know she was so bad.
Can't stand how condescending and hypocritical she is when "advising" the models on ANTM.
tyra is unappealing and too self involved. she's missing the real joys in life, like family, friends, and love. she's too busy trying to convince us that she scatched and clawed her way up. she had to fight some big fight because she's a woman of color who didn't fit the standard size requirements to be a supermodel.she's a boring
fraud with 2 mediocre(at best) tv shows. hey tyra, lighten up, smile a little, feel your feminine side, relax those tight fists, not everyone is out to get you.you don't have to prove anything 24/7. try being a "giver".
she has "nothing" when she comes home? doesnt her weave count?

i would think mr. jay and miss jay would be there to meet her after a long day.

Why am I not surprised at this? All she talks about is how she's a former "supermodel" (which she isn't), how she can't get a good man (even though the men she dated are all happily married now) and blah, blah, blah. She wanted to excel at this TV thing and it came at a cost.
On her show, she somehow manages to twist it and make every episode about HER. Maybe if she wasn't so self-centered...
The Jays make the show. Nigel is easy on the eye. Twiggy was humane. Janice was insane.

elle I so agree a/b Mr. Jay. YUM. But if the hair wasn't the color it is (frosted? highlights? whatever) I'm not sure he'd be so hot. Nigel, OMG all he'd have to do is smile and talk. I think it's the accent.

Oh, she's admitted that when she's on ANTM and even her talk show she speaks like Oprah. And as much as i can't STAND Okra there's something about Tyra that I like. Maybe the fact that she's gorgeous and can't nail down a man. I also want to see what's under that wig..beady beads or no hair at all? Tyra folks wanna know!

I don't see why people are on her case. That picture you have posted up isn't of her yelling at an employee, she was scolding one of the contestants on ANTM who was in fact acting like a little bitch who needed to be yelled at.
First of all, she's alone because everyone that she's dated or have become close to in the past betrayed her. You honestly think she doesn't make her own money. She doesn't need a rich ass man.
Also, does anyone have any articles or proof that she mistreats her employees cuz I'd like to see them. I never hated Tyra. I dunno why you all do.

Yes, it's from a gossip site, but if your boss was Tyra Banks and she did that, would YOU keep quiet? I wouldn't.
I hardly watch any of Tyras shows but never cease to be amazed at how shes savaged in gossip blogs... I guess they help to keep her relevant and prolong thier pain...

1. I havent noticed any over 50s shes dated. John Singleton, Seal, The recent basket ball player.... Over 50? Where did that come from? And if... so what?
2. Why cant she complain about missing not having a man? If thats what she meant. What is it about success makes makes you have to sacrifice the right to say youre lonely? Perhaps if she was less attractive we would permitt it.
3. Why put supermodel in quote? Thats what she was.
4. Apparently most here are bored with her and feel she should quit... unfourtunately youre the minority. Enough people watch the show to keep it on. Perhaps they even like it...
I love the fact that shes created a new career from one that retires you once youve hit your "expiry" date...
