She Just Needs An Office Special

Lucy Davis' marriage is on the rocks. Some of you are saying who the hell is Lucy Davis? Lucy Davis is the original receptionist on The Office. You know? The UK version? The one we copied over here. I am ashamed to admit it, but it was only about two months ago that I saw that Office reunion special they did. That was hilarious. Ricky Gervais just does such a good job of making you feel totally uncomfortable when you are watching it. You just want to turn it off, and at the same time you don't want to stop watching.

Anyway, Lucy Davis, who got married in December of 2006 has seen her career basically go nowhere, while her husband Owain Yeoman has seen his start to take off. So, she sits at home all day and he gets to be noticed and popular. I think that is the main reason why marriages between actors never work. As long as each party is on the same pay scale, everything is great. It could be really rich or really poor or even just middle class and most of the time it works out ok. I think what happens though is that when one person starts to do better and you become the spouse of the other that things start to fall apart. You become jealous or bitter and the next thing you know, it's over.

I hope it is not the case here, but honestly, once it starts down that road it is tough to come back.

It also can't help that when one actor gets more famous they get more offers for extracurricular sex.

Scott Foley and Jennifer Garner, anyone?

He was the big star of Felicity and she was a just a walk on GF of his character when they met. After they got married, the tables turned.

Enty-

That is a PERFECT description of how I felt watching the "Original" Office on BBC. Except I DID turn it off-I absolutely hated it!! It's b/c of that that I refuse to watch the US version. I'm stunned that it has done as well as it has-generally BBC sitcoms don't translate very well over here (Coupling anyone?).

Some moron thought it would be a good idea to have a US version of Top Gear!! (I've read that there are rumors Adam Carolla (sp) is going to be the host). There is no way I'd even consider watching that-the UK Top Gear is one of my absolute favorite shows. It's f%@#*ing hilarious b/c of Clarkson, Captain Slow & Hamster & b/c UK's insurance laws are obvious MUCH more liberal than ours (we would NEVER be able to get away with playing lawn darts w/ cars or play soccer in little VWs!) Ahem...sorry, I'll climb off my soap box & stop my little off-topic tangent. :)

That's a shame, here's hoping they can work it out.

If it is indeed true, then both Pams of the Office have split from their hubbies.

That's awful, Lucy, but you know sometimes these things happen. It hurts for a while, but we find the strength to move on. I'm more than happy to offer my shoulder to cry on. Just drop me a line, Lucy.

Yellow, "Top Gear" is awesome and I also think the US version will be a travesty. Hey, at least the "Spaced" re-do was nixed, THANK GOD.
