Charlie Sheen
Well, now that Charlie Sheen is in rehab for the next three months lets see if we can put together everything that has happened in the past week or so. The big event leading to the rehab is the "hernia." Obviously that is a bunch of crap, but you do have to give points for creativity in the excuse department. It is not as world class as a dentist visit putting you under a 5150 hold, but it is right up there in the sense that it could be believable.
The fun news over the weekend is that Charlie wrote one of the porn stars/hookers a check for $30,000. You know, just because she was a whole lot of fun. Obviously she has learned a few tricks in the porn industry to be able to command those kinds of fees from Charlie. You would think he would have tried everything by now. The porn star who hired a lawyer, Kacey Jordan has actually babysat Britney Spears' kids before. Yep. Right after Britney and Kevin Federline broke up, Kacey dated K-Fed. During that time she spent some time babysitting the Spears kids. At least with Charlie she only had to babysit him. She was also the recipient of the $30,000 check and despite the fact she thought Charlie would not be alive when she returned, she went to the bank at 3am to deposit the check. Yep, she has your interests at heart Charlie. She also said that Charlie was smoking and snorting coke the entire 36 hours and after he cut her the check for $30,000 they had sex which lasted 3 minutes. So, $10,000 a minute. Crazy.
Lindsay Lohan stepped into the mess and said she is worried about Charlie. Huh? I'm glad, but I think she should be worried about herself right now. Her whole world should be her recovery and not thanking the stars there is someone out in celebrity land who actually makes her look normal.
Shortly before he entered rehab, Charlie gave an interview and he said that he was fine and that people don't get it. Yeah, everyone walks around with a bunch of porn stars and has briefcases full of cash.

No concern here for Charlie. He is living the lifestyle of his choice.
My concern is for his children and the many people who depend on him for a paycheck. We know Charlie's only concern is himself.
Has everyone decided that Denise is not a crazy liar, the storyline his crack PR team was promoting when she divorced him?

i really don't care what happens to him and i'll be shocked if he really stays in rehab for 3 months. it would be nice if the network would get tough with him, but hey, they only care about THEIR bottom line.
it's a shame this guy has children. a grown ass man with 4 kids and handing out big checks to porn stars. real classy guy he is.

And it's unreal that $30,000 is peanuts to this jackass. No more 2.5 men for me. It's not even funny anymore. Just fart and T&A jokes.
Lindsay would have charged a lot less than 30K. But then on the other hand she would have done 60K of blow so Charlie probably came out ahead.
I don't feel sorry for him, he's clearly trying to end his life and/or he doesn't care. I think it's more interesting to know what made him behave like this? just selfish? I think it's sad that this guy gets so much money and just throws it all away on blow and hookers.
So is the $30,000 taxable as earned income, for services rendered, or is it a "gift", non-taxable to the receiver, but which requires the giver to pay a gift tax?

I was very happy to see that his folks actually said that NO, he wasn't going to Promises. I don't have any statistics, and I hope nobody here works there and is offended, but it seems to me that that place is just that, a "promise" of a rehab center.
I'm hoping Charlie got sent to Sierra Tucson, where they take rehab seriously (sex addiction, too, remember Michael Douglas went there). I'll let you know if I see him around town ;-)

TMZ states he is rehabbing at home. Why am I not surprised?
The police can locate a lot of hookers and drug dealers in the area if they install a traffic camera on the street outside Charlie's home.
Perhaps the Feds can confiscate his home computer for all kinds of sex and drug leads.

I never though Denise Richards was a liar. The crazy is going to take some time to work on...she did after all willing marry Charlie Sheen and had one child and was pregnant with a second one before she left. That she was with him at all clearly means she has mental health issues.
@MCH - you called it. Apparently he's still at home with no intentions of entering rehab.
If prostitution and possession of narcotics is illegal, how come Sheen hasn't been arrested yet? It's not as if the cops don't know about it since Charlie is bragging about it. If I got caught with a couple of joints I would be in jail, yet this dude walks free?
And good for the woman who cashed the cheque. But what bank is open at 3 am?
Good point about the bank, Basil. ATMs have an amount limit on cheques you can deposit.

shakey - I think it is the same one who was "promised" a blue bentley. I read somewhere that when she went to the bank, after they called Charlie AND his manager (or someone else) to verify the check was legit, that she could only get $8000 because that was all the bank had at the time, and had to go back later to get the rest.
