Gary Valentine Suing Over False Sex Assault Claims
This is one of those things that every guy dreads. Sex assault claims that are groundless but the news of the groundless does not come out as strongly as the news of the original assault. Gary Valentine, who is Kevin James' older brother and also starred on King Of Queens with James, is suing a woman for $500K. The woman, who was a former business associate had consensual oral sex with Valentine last year. The woman though had a boyfriend and did not want him to think she would cheat on him so she accused Valentine of sexual assault and even filed a police report. The police found the accusations groundless and now Valentine is suing her for $500K saying she damaged his reputation and cost him lots of legal fees.
It also hurts women everywhere because when real sexual assault happens it makes everything a little less credible.

i love creative sentencing---wish the judge could make her wear a sign that says 'i was not sexually assaulted---i'm a LIAR.'
I'm of the thought that in these cases they shouldn't release the plaintiff or defendant's names for just this reason. Let it play out in court. If the defendant is guilty, then let it fly. If not, seal the records and the person gets to keep their reputation.

It really makes me sick when girls do this. It just means that EVERY time a girl IS telling the truth, there is always doubt.
And these guys never fully get their reputation back. This will follow him around forever.
