A Very Eerie Lisa Marie Presley Story From Me
The National Enquirer has a story this week which says that Lisa Marie Presley dropped 55 pounds in 5 months and then suffered a nervous breakdown, was flown back to the United States from her home in England and has been getting treatment from Scientology ever since. Normally I would not bother to write about it because it is just not that interesting to me. If she thinks her church is better than a hospital, I won't judge her on that. She is an adult and can make her own decisions. Now, if it were one of her kids, I would say something.
Anyway, the weird thing and kind of eerie thing is this. Ever since the day Elvis died, you could drive by his Los Angeles house and if you peered through the fence to the tennis court you could see a little bicycle right up against the fence. Always been there. Never moved. The legend is that Lisa was riding her bike out on the tennis court when the news was given that Elvis had died. I am not in that neighborhood very often, but sometimes people will come visit and they want to see where Michael Jackson died which is across the street from this house. So, since Michael died I have been by there a few times and it was always still there. Until this weekend. Gone. I drove by, and did not see it and had just been talking about it. I even got out of the car to check to make sure because it was always there. Not anymore. I wonder if her breakdown and whatever advice was given to her had anything to do with the bike being gone. So strange.

I guess we know why MJ was in that house he died in!
I read that Lisa Marie was trying to get away from both the church and Priscilla ...so yes this is really odd...
P.S. I thought she was with Elvis at the time of his death also....
I doubt this is true consider Lisa was not in California when Elvis died. She was in Memphis with him- she saw his body. It's been talked about for years.
One nice thing about not being famous is you never have to worry about having the absolute worst picture ever being published on a magazine cover.
I'm more curious about how/why Lisa got involved with Scientology...did her mother encourage that? If so, how/when did Priscilla get involved...must have been after Elvis passed?

kris, it was after he died. LM joined when she was 18, but I can't remember if her mom was already in it, but I think so. Priscilla once said she was so sorry Elvis never got to know about it, that it would have helped him...
But, Elvis knew all about it, he said "These Scientologists want to control your mind, I think, so I'd never be interested in anything like that."

This legend is creepy as hell, I mean, since she was in joint custody with her parents, it must be her bike, no? The whole across the street thing.... It's all a spook show.
Didn't Priscilla get involved with $ci when she started to date the karate guy? He got her involved, I believe.
So Ent, what you're saying is MJ (or Lisa) brought the bicycle from Graceland? Isn't stuff being moved from MJ's property?
If she is trying to get away from that cult, let's hope they don't kill her.
I really think she has tried to be "normal" stay out of the glare ....I truly hope she's ok...

I thought that Lisa Marie was not in the area when her Dad passed because didn't his girlfriend at the time (don't know her name) have to call Lisa and tell her that her Daddy died? If I remember correctly Lisa was fairly close to his girlfriend at the time of his death?

@ kris & blindgossip - I remember seeing a VH1-Behind the Music-type documentary on Lisa Marie. Priscilla was introduced to it by none other than John Travolta. He felt that it would help LisaMarie with her drugs/alchohol/promiscuity problems that she had at the time. Lisa said it worked and it was the greatest thing that she ever did for herself.

I don't think a 55 lb weight loss in 5 months is dangerous/shocking. It is 2 1/2 lbs a week. Sounds pretty healthy to me.

I've heard Scientologists will cajole (kidnap) and re-program anyone with money who tries to leave. Is this what happened to Lisa Marie?

@blondegossip: I never feel the same about a celeb/actor/musician once I find out that they are part of the COS cult. I was very bummed to find out that Beck is one of "them".

Read up on the Purification Rundown sometime - a fave Co$ quack treatment. And do you think these people were gonna let someone as wealthy and high-profile as Lisa Marie just walk away? Dollars to donuts she was being barraged day and night by high-ranking folks in the Org who kept at her until they got her back.

I think that crappy church has something over Lisa (like JT and TC) and that's why they pimped her out to marry MJ so they could get their hands on some Jackson $$$'s.
I agree califblondy, I always thought Lisa's marriage to MJ was all about bringing him into the $cientology fold. As much as his money, I think they wanted his influence.
$cientologists prey on people who have gone though trauma or are in turmoil. He was disfellowshipped from the Jehovah's Witnesses and then dealing with lawsuits over sex scandals in the couple of years leading up to their marriage. When it was obvious that he wasn't going to join, they divorced.
I think Travolta and Lisa were kidnapped.
The bicycle that laid there for 30years, was probably hers when he died, but not necessarily that she was on it.
I remember the day Elvis died really well. He was at home in Memphis. His girlfriend at the time was Ginger Alden. Google for info and video interviews with/about her. Lisa Marie was at the home but did NOT see his body. Either Lisa or Ginger called Priscilla, or else it was one of Elvis' friends there at the time. Lots of people living in that house when he died. Priscilla told them to keep Lisa AWAY and get her out of there ASAP.
Priscilla fooled around on Elvis with his karate instructor/friend and subsequently had a relationship with him. Elvis dated women who all looked liked Priscilla in some way. Ginger Alden was spooky in that she looked so very much like Linda Thompson and Priscilla. All the girlfriends wore a necklace he gave them which was TCB standing for "Taking care of business" I think it was.
Anyway, Priscilla got into Scientology after Elvis died, then got Lisa Marie into it due to her childhood behaviour problems.

Did anyone see her interview on Oprah? I never believed she was in love with Michael Jackson. Their body language did not show love. I think he married her because she was Elvis Presley's daughter.
I always felt sorry for Lisa Marie because there was nothing she could really do with her life. She briefly had a singing career, but not much else. She is just basically known for being Presley's kid.
