Lisa Marie Presley On Good Morning America Tomorrow - Will They Ask Scientology Question
Tomorrow morning Lisa Marie Presley will be on Good Morning America promoting her new album. I'm hoping they will run someone out from Nightline to do the interview. Why? Because the song lyrics on Lisa's new album and a blind that I ran not so long ago make it pretty clear that Lisa Marie is saying bye bye to Scientology. She is one of the big ones. She and her mom and the kids and grandkids. It is like one big nest of Scientologists. If this whole group said bye it would really crumble the foundation of the place. Tomorrow GMA needs to ask her about the album and the lyrics. It is a normal question to ask about lyrics on an album. There would be nothing to ask Taylor Swift if you could not ask her about the lyrics and who they are each time. Ask Lisa about them and see if she will go off on Scientology right then. She will be on Leno later in the week and unless someone throws it up on a cue card he will have no clue. She will be on Kimmel but he doesn't like to make anyone mad so he won't ask. It sucks that children are raised in this cult who never manage to grow up to realize how fucking stupid, corrupt and delusional it is so good for Lisa Marie. It may have taken 3 decades to get there but she's finally free as are her children. I don't think her mother is leaving any time soon. I found it most interesting that the article mentions that Kirstie Alley has one foot out the door - if that's true, then probably Travolta does too (they are OG Besties.)
It's MY theory (based on nothing but my ol' brain and boredom) that the COS is leaking all these molestation accusations agaist Travolta because he's trying to leave the church. This is the kind of stuff members pay the church to keep quiet, and that the church holds over members so they won't leave (sort of the modern version of the old hollywood studio model.) Thoughts?
@Liz--I think this could be the tipping point. Lisa Marie is not that famous anymore, but she is still Elvis's daughter. If Travolta were to leave COS and come out at the same time, that could trigger an avalanche, because all the closeted COS celebs would feel free to leave as well. Past a certain point the Sea Org thugs would be overwhelmed.
There's lots of marginal celeb Scienos who might break with COS if it was as part of a wave. Never Tommy Boy or Kirstie, but the likes of Beck, Juliette Lewis, etc.

It's no coincidence that as homosexuality and casual drug use become socially acceptable, and serious addictions (drugs, gambling, etc.) become recognized as medical issues rather than moral failings, that COS has waned. Take away the leverage of the auditing confession "secrets" and COS will wither to insignificance.
I commend her. It is hard getting out of a cult. I know. I used to be a Mormon, and breaking through that kind of brainwashing ain't easy.
