The murder happened in February and the trial is set for next March at the earliest. It does have a set date but they have been known to change and get postponed for months or even years.

hasn't Aaron Hernandez been charged with multiple offenses in relation to the murder of Odin Lloyd? In addition isn't he now being investigated for gun trafficking (which could lead to additional charges)? How is this so different than what SA is doing in the case of Pistorius?
Tink Tink will get away with this. I have no confidence in legal systems in many countries, but particularly SA.
I was there many years ago, and at the time there was a case going on about a gang rape. The victim was infected with HIV. The defendants lawyers delayed the case for years, until the victim died of an AIDS-related illness. Case dismissed as there was no victim to give evidence.
