Relapse implies she was sober at some point. I don't believe it.
I don't think she's dreadful. She hasn't tried to be anything but what she is - very often.
I appreciate a straightforward person, even if I'm not a consumer of what they're selling.
As much as I like Courtney, she's reduced herself to doing what so many famous acts do best.

She has been sober from time to time, I'm pals with a guy who knows her through show business circles.
She was reported last week to be doing shots with David Kruehl (sp?), former drummer I think for Nirvana and the article said something about how she didn't "normally" drink which indicates not only sobriety but a bit of a nosedive off the wagon.
She did go home early that night though and didn't accompany them to the strip club.
That said - it's not a good sign of what may be around the corner. But yes, Courtney has made efforts at genuine sobriety.

Have a soft apot for her. She has been suffering with concurrent mental illness & serious drug addiction for years. She still maintains some self awareness of how fucked she is.
Damn, and she was just starting to rebuild some Nirvana bridges, too.
