Speaking of former tweeners, this former High School Musical actress is begging Disney to put her in the reboot and to give her a spin off from the movie into her own Disney show. Our actress always vowed to stay away from the role that made her famous but she has been one big crash and burn in roles since the show ended.

Tisdale has no career and bad reality shows while Vanessa has done Broadway, got great reviews for Grease live and is filming a movie now.
Yeah, dunno much about the cast etc, but she seems to have evaporated (or so I've seen here) into bad reality shows and needs a vehicle badly. Also, has been said to be so what (and unjustly arrogant) With fans, career etc.
So, it seems that some of the links to certain gossip/news aren't appearing here...again.
When I see the word tweener, at least 90% of my interest wanes.
At one side we have Vanessa Hudges, because she as far I can remember became famous through HSM and not all her movies were successful, BUT she has rave reviews for Grease Live and did Broadway. On the other side we have Ashley Tisdale whose career also have bad movies etc, BUT she became already known through Zack and Cody series AND is more working on producing and all. If you know what I mean.
Not to mention that Ashley already have done some spin-offs.
it makes sense that it would be ashley because even monique coleman just got cast in a new law show and of course vanessa got rave reviews for grease live so shes out of the equation. but it still doesnt add up because ashley was liking tweets that said they were against the franchise. why would she say that if she wants to be apart of it?
exactly, ashley has been producing her own show so why would she want to go back to disney? i know shes not doing the best out of the cast but shes still working. she managed to use the reunion to talk about herself and all that because she knew the ratings would be huge but hsm4 is going to tank for sure.
I think that was the only role Vanessa got rave reviews for though. I did not watch, and I am sure she was great, but I think the reviews were great because of the circumstance with her father. It is not like she won an Oscar and all her other roles have not been that succesful-including Broadway. Decent reviews but low ticket sales..
Not vanessa since she just signed for a new TV series as well. Ashley is the one who can't make a job stick.
She did a show that recently got cancelled...I actually thought it was cute but it didn't hold for very long. On TBS i think about a hair salon. She could be desperate now.
Holy crap guys Ashley Tisdale owned Phineas and Ferb... (talent wise and dominated the show). That show lasted for years. It's animated but that still paid the bills. I say it's Vanessa.
Hudgens is in the new nbc dc comics pilot and got raves for grease. Maybe Tisdale, but I thought she had another pilot in development.
Or maybe Olesya Rulin?

"the role that made her famous" would have to be either Hudgens or Ashley, I would say Ashley because Sharpay was a big hit with the kids and I could see her trying to make a show out of Sharpay's character.
