well that was a few months ago-now the blind is implying he has changed his mind. The blind states--former rapper--maybe he does not feel confident in his acting to win an Oscar but does musically. He received good reviews for being on Broadway and movies like Monsters Ball
I didn't read it as he wants to act. Says he wants to write or contribute music and get the Oscar that John Legend and Common did. So Kanye the egomaniac I guess?
I actually like Diddy's acting....he was hilarious in "Get him to the Greek", but he played himself basically lol.
He was pretty good in Slingblade. But I think he wants a Oscar for Music, and he's s probably right that he could get it with the right project.
I read it that way too - he wants to contribute to the soundtrack or white the best song for a movie or whatnot.
Kanye is not a former rapper---he released an album this year...

Diddy was SO funny in that movie. Like, really funny. Was expecting him to be horrible but it was hilarious.

Diddy's got some serious acting chops he was good in A Raisin In The Sun..not an easy role(i thought anyway) and he was funny in Get Him To The Greek..
I was impressed when he said he was gonna run the NY Marathon & dammit, he DID IT..in 4 hours no less.
Oops, you're right. And of course, now that I checked out someof his other roles, I wouldn't be that much of a stretch for him to get an acting Oscar, certainly better than some full time actors.
Don't think the blind is implying all that , just don't thinks it's him . Period.
He was never an A+list rapper . He produced , mentored, and collaborated with them , but that's why Enty says "wannabe" with P.Diddy. Otherwise yeah I guess we should make the blind fit your answer *shrugs*
He is pretty damn talented, I think so too. There is a film he did I can't remember now, but he was amazing . And I was a fan of OG Puffy from forever(and Notorious BIG) but his acting was like- a shock. A good one.

kanye,could work as an answer.his music has been used in a lot of movie trailers. so might be thinking.why not take the next step.
