Julia Child Would Be 100 Today

PBS must have got someone who to work for them under the age of 75, because they keep turning out these digital shorts and they are really good. In honor of Julia Child's 100th birthday, they did one for her.

I love Julia. I'm choosing not to watch the video, though. And Julie Powell sucks.

Normally I hate autotune, but this is genius.

There are rumours that The Situation might be going on Celebruty Big Brother tonight! How amazing would that be?!

@Sian about as amazing as someone thrusting an ice pick into my eye.

Love me some Julia Child.

ha ha Redheat!!

I like this one a LOT! It's really good and captures her spirit really well. Better than the Bob Ross one.

Wow, time flies. I had the privilege of cooking for her 80th birthday celebration in Marina Del Rey. I remember most how inquisitive and fearless she was. That was one hell of a party!!!

Whatever you may think of the guy he will make a fantastic housemate he is a grade A shit stirrer :D

Back when I Was little kid I watched her every chance I got. I leraned how to make the perfect roux, how to carve turkeys, how to roast a chicken and basic techniques. For my tenth birthday I got a crepe pan and made Crepes Suzette. They didn[t turn out perfectly but my dad ate them anyway. Here's to you Julia.

Sian, you're a sock puppet. The Situation is nothing more than the creation of a few demented executives. An overly tanned closeted mouthbreather whose appeal is mainly to those with an IQ less than that of a garden slug. A group so stupid and lazy that they can barely get themselves out of their faeces covered beanbag chairs long enough to scrape the residue out of their bowls. He's not a shit stirrer, just SHIT!

I love this! Ignore the autotune, that's the only way they could get it close to "singing", but listen to the words! It's a love song to cooking well and eating well.

Thanks for that, to each their own no need for insults! Hope insulting someone you know next to nothing about for liking someone you do not has made you feel big. :D

This makes me feel so uncomfortable but I loved Julia show, especially the one with Jacques Pepin.

Always loved Julia - but it's hard to think of her without remembering the SNL bass in a blender.

I'll have to watch the Bob Ross video. I loved watching him paint.

Julia Child was marvelous. She spent her final years in an assisted living place in Santa Barbara, which she liked because they served lots of bacon at breakfast. One of her favorite places to eat in town was a taco stand. Not a Mexican restaurant, a taco stand. It became the cool thing to say around town "I was at La Super Rica the other day, and Julia Child was there." She was there rather often. You are indeed missed, Julia!

This was awesome. Captures her spirit of the home cook, the chef, living well, cooking AND eating wonderfully with those you love.

We miss you, Miss Julia!
