This judge on a popular cooking show is just as much of an a-hole in real life as he is on the show. Unless you are a very attractive young woman, you will never get him to say hi or get a photo or an autograph. If you are an attractive young woman you will get more than just a photo if you want.

Well..I love his mother,Lidia. It would break my heart if I found out she was like that..she seems so sweet.
I had to look him up. Still have no idea WHO(?) he is. I don't watch cooking shows - boring.

Well, he's not the most outgoing guy, but I did meet him on the street once, he was a little standoffish but he said my baby was cute and he took a picture with us. I mean I think I'm pretty cute lol but I'm pushing a baby in a stroller with my husband, not really giving off an "available" vibe.
She's not sweet at all, but she is ballsy, which I like. She built the family restaurant business from nothing.
Her son, however, is an asshole. A few years ago he was sued for several million by the servers at a restaurant he owns with Mario Batali (also a douchebag) because he was taking all their tips. Totally illegal and a real dickbag move. The servers won, Bastianich went on record complaining about how unfair the judgement was. As I said, a real asshole on many counts.
I worked in NYC restaurants for almost 25 years, front and back of house. Met a lot of great people and developed a real love for food. I also can say that asshole behavior is completely endemic to the industry. I have seen, heard and been the recipient of the sort of vile treatment that would never be acceptable in almost any other industry. Money can be made easily and lost just as quickly, and many bosses are all too aware of what they can get away with.
One of my bosses wanted me to model in thigh high's and heels for him. I'm a guy.
Although, if it was Giada asking I probably would have done it...Lol
