It's part of the job to promote your movies, otherwise, forget those big paychecks.

Lot's of bad stuff coming out of HW lately. It's become standard so they don't care.
Lion had a standing ovation and cheering. It's now considered a Best Picture contender and Best Actress for Kidman. It's not her.
Naomi Watts? The Bleeder has got poor reviews.
Kidman got good reviews in Lion and the movie got fairly good reviews though it's a super sentimental tearjerker - not the critics' favorite.
Natalie Portman's got great reviews for Jackie, so not her.
hathaway, kidman, portland all getting raves. maybe one of the females from American Pastoral, which is not getting raves.
