Beyonce Wins People's Most Beautiful Woman
Well, Beyonce's publicist won the award this year and got Beyonce named People's Most Beautiful Woman. I have no problems saying that Beyonce is beautiful, but the most beautiful? There is no sense in complaining about it because as I said yesterday it is a publicist award and Beyonce has a new baby and a new album and a new tour. I kept thinking movies and I'm ashamed of myself for not thinking singers too. I wonder if Jessica Simpson had her "baby" like Beyonce and lost all her baby weight if she would have won. I would say no simply because she doesn't have anything really to promote except for Fashion Star which is nothing but a commercial anyway. Notice how the cover lacks a Kardashian which is nice. I think US Weekly or some of the other tabloids would have picked one just to stay firmly implanted in their butts. Jennifer Aniston beat out Angelina for the contest between them.
For those of you who guessed yesterday, here are the top 10 and of course my guess is not even close.

#3 - Charlize Theron (she would have been a good guess 3 months ago when she had two movies out at once)
#4 -Lily Collins (way too young for People to win)

#6 - Christina Hendricks (beautiful but only one show which is too hip for People)

#9 - Miranda Lambert (have to have someone from country music)

@Vicki Cupper -- a lot of people think she's overrated but I think she's gorgeous regardless.
Gotta say it's decent that they named a black woman for #1 for anyone who didn't think of that.

Beyonce is incredibly beautiful - probably in the top 3 if you're only including the most overexposed celebrities. I'd have loved to see Adele win - she truly is stunning, and she has that VOICE on top of her looks!
AJ isn't in the top 10 - sadly, she's ravaged her looks with excessive dieting, or possibly an eating disorder. I love that most of the women on the top 6 have wicked curves.
Beyonce is really gorgeous though, even though this is just a publicity thing.
She is lovely but not that lovely...and she feels so connected since "giving birth" ...yeah sure whatever..
Shouldn't there be a blanket wrapped blob there somewhere? And come ON, they're not showcasing her new signature blue-like-her-baby manicure!

Shoot, my grocery store gave me a good coupon for a People Magazine recently and I STILL didn't buy one.
Sarah - They mat not have shown the manicure but I think they managed to cram enough blue on the cover as it is.
That list is totally "meh" to me except for Charlize. Huh.

Didn't even think of Beyonce yesterday! She is beautiful though, and she is a great performer, not just a talentless pretty girl. So I guess I am OK with their choice *L*.

@VickiCupper, I honestly thing she is not very attractive. It almost looks like she had a bad nose job at some point. She is NOTHING compared to Salma Hayek IMO...and Kate Middleton, really? blech...that whole list stinks...

my first thought was kate middleton. seems like its kind of her year, until of course you see how this one manipulated the media/people. the kardashians are all home throwing darts at the cover and planning their next move.
I know this is a controversial subject in the black community, but does Beyoncs seem like her skin is getting "lighter"? I'm not trying to stir up any pot, but I know that many consider lighter skin black folk to be better looking. I hope she isn't going the Michael Jackson route w skin

Seriously??? The woman can't even have her own baby...and she stole the song "If I were a Boy" from BC Jean. When BC Jean refused to sell Beyonce the song, she and her father recorded it anyway, cause Beyonce thinks she's Queen of the world and can do whatever she wants. I can't stand her. She's fake fake fake. Fake hair, fake pregnancy, fake original songs.

@Ami...how are you stirring the Pot.? If her's skin looks lighter, her skin looks lighter. As for whether lighter skin is more attractive,it all depends on the person and their personal opinion. I haven't taken or seen any polls, but I couldn't really say what the masses prefer. I personally think a dark olive skin is very attractive. Super light or super dark skin is not my personal taste.
I can't believe I didn't think about singers, but I love this pick.

I think she is very pretty but this is obviously a bought cover. She'll probably be giving them an exclusive with pics of the baby soon.
I don't think she is lightening her skin. Every year some celeb buys the most beautiful cover so whats the difference. The title makes as much of a difference as the #1 grandpa shirts!
Beyonce, really? Floozy-looking Miranda Lambert? Madeline Stowe with her jacked-up lips? Pale, wan, pixie-cut Michelle Williams? No.
Here's my list of the "most beautiful women, celebrity edition" -- Christina Hendricks, Sofia Vergara, Rosamund Pike, AJ (before she stopped eating anything), Adele, Aishwarya Rai, Miranda Kerr, Monica Belluci, and Gong Li. Gorgeous, all of them.
Her pictures are so photoshopped I have no idea what her real skin color is. If she is that beautiful, then why not photograph her without any makeup on and show us how beautiful she really is. Yeah right, as if.

Speaking of Jessica Simpson, today Wendy Williams conducted an investigation of her having had that baby and holding off announcing it to get a good magazine cover. She showed a picture of Jessica in the car with her foot up on the dashboard--and then Wendy had one of her employees put on a huge pregnancy pad and get into an SUV and try to get her foot up on the dashboard....couldn't be done.
Conclusion....Jessica must have had the baby but is waiting for next week's news to announce, lol.
The one I seriously questioned was Kate Middleton. She was far from a fairy tale. More like a nightmare .... She got too thin and it just made her look old and anorexic on her wedding day.
Beyonce: Overrated? Yes. Beautiful? Yes. The most beautiful? There's no such thing.

Car54---I could see her doing that to hold off for May 'sweeps', if she's heavily invested in that dreadful television show of hers. We'll see if the birth is announced just before the first new show in May.
The show would have to be in serious trouble for someone as indiscreet as JS to try and fake a birth-date for ratings. Pathetic if true.
I'm not a huge Beyonce fan, but she is beautiful. My hsband and I were leaving a hotel once as she and Jay Z were entering. By the way it was just the two of them, no entourage or look at me behavior. She was in jeans and a white tee, didn't appear to be wearing makeup and she looked amazing.
Just saw Beyonce on Extra and her comment was "I feel more beautiful now because I have given birth....I've never felt so.....connected."
So there.

I don't get how/why Madeline Stowe or Michelle Williams made the cut? Despite what we all think about her as a person, Beyonce is beautiful. The timing makes sense w/ the whole baby thing.
I totally agree with this list. Love Rosamund Pike. I would add Charlize too. AJ used to be suuuuch a babe, like in hackers or Gia.
