Lindsay Lohan Was Late To Work Yesterday
Think back to when Ugly Betty was still on the air. Remember how they gave Lindsay what was supposed to be a multiple episode arc, but they got so sick of her they wanted her gone almost immediately. Well, yesterday Lindsay was late to her first day of work at Glee and everyone had to sit around waiting for her. Yeah, way to make a good first impression to the producers. You are probably at home sleeping off some kind of party from the night before while the money is draining like crazy from the budget and people are standing around doing nothing waiting for you to come to work. Tell me again why people want to hire her. Amazing work ethic? Acting talent? Frequent smoke breaks? Squeaky clean reputation?

now...i'm not saying LL doesn't have to be accountable here, b/c she most absolutely needs to be--and i realize i'm one of the few who truly wants to see this girl make a comeback, despite her incessant self-sabotage attempts--BUT, it is my understanding (thk you twitter, et al social media) that she was 1 hr late, but that it didn't hold up production. she was to be there for pick-up/reaction shots...her actual scenes had been shot days before and she actually was on time and all that good stuff, blah, blah...come enty, stop going for the sensationalist angle.
that said tho, an hr late for whatever it is still isn't acceptable, especially since it's something she committed to and was under contract for.
I read that Coach Beist (sp?) twittered how pissed she was to be waiting for LL. So - who knows?
Half of it drug/alcohol induced stupor and the other half is passive-aggressive string pulling.
They need to tell Blohan to show up a good six hours before she actually needs to be there. If they give her a midnight call time, she come staggering in at 6am. Problem solved!

I won't watch to see her. I gave this show up like six or seven episodes and I've only turned in to watch the Matt Bomer one. He's amazing though.

I also agree with the folks that want to see her succeed. But i do like to see a train wreck once in a while. Lindsay gets hired because she is well knowed and people still talk about her. It brings attention to the project even if she fucks up!
They should have done a Southpark solution. Film all of her scenes with a stand-in (maybe a grossly overweight one). Paste a digital headshot of Lohan (her mugshot would be perfect) on top of the shoulders of the stand-in in all her scenes. Then add a disclaimer at the start of the episode explaining why you had to do it this way (the real LL wasn't there when they filmed her scenes).
@Rose - I did the same thing!!! I gave up on this season but I *had* to watch the Matt Bomer episode. He makes me wish I were a gay man.

Please tell me again why everyone thinks Lindsay is an amazing actress? I've never seen her act. She's a one trick pony...and she's always rushing through her lines in every movie...even before her drug fueled life. She's not as good of an actress as Emma Stone. She's not even that great looking, especially now. I don't understand.

I used to hope she'd get it together, but don't think she will, she's been given so many chances and screws them all up. Yes the word is entitlement. Being late for a job? Your first job in years? Being late for work is unacceptable even if you had done the majority of your shoot.
No one, except for an emergency should be late.

Don't forget, I'm CERTAIN she had a studio car waiting to pick her up. Not like she could say she was stuck in traffic, or her engine overheated, which actually sometimes happens to the rest of the mortal world.
LIFETIME brass (as well as GLEE, and Greta Van Susteren, SNL and all the other people & places who are rolling the dice to participate in her 'comeback') are ONLY taking the risk because they know whether she is terrible or not, they are guaranteed big "train wreck" ratings. That's ALL it's about. SNL had massive ratings that night and she was terrible and the rest of the hard working regular cast were miserable.
The LIFETIME movie was set to shoot in Toronto but changed to LA...most likely because she could not be insured in Canada.
I'm all for a person changing/saving their life, but she is being enabled by these people who are only wanting to cash in on her notoriety. How will they feel, I wonder, if she OD's on their watch? Rosie O'D is right - she needs a break away from show biz to REALLY get well, if she truly wants to. Robert Downey Jr. didn't have this easy a time with his comeback and he was genuinely committed to his sobriety. The folks hiring her are not doing her any favors - I'd argue that they are putting her at greater risk.
As stated above, it wasn't her first day, she was mostly done with her filming, but yes it was unprofessional. This is the same episode that Perez Hilton will be on, and I will not watch it. Those two are disgusting enough solo, but for Glee to put a bully on their show after all the preaching about bullying is a joke. Ryan Murphy is such an arrogant bastard.

I am about 98% sure I'm done with Glee. I'm tired of being preached at, and Ryan Murphy seems dedicated to making every damn episode a "very special" one, pushing his own agenda onto everyone. Plus, I've heard that he is a HUGE bitch, and I don't like supporting people who are assholes.
I love Matt Bomer, so I was excited to see him on it, but I wish they had given him better material to work with (beyond the pointing tip -- that advice is golden!).
This doesn't even qualify as news. What would be news is if LiLo were to show up on time, prepared, and professional for the duration of her brief guest spot. She couldn't even do that. Yet another reason why I would bet anyone ONE MIIILLLLION DOLLARS that the stupid Liz Taylor movie will never be completed.

I have never watched Glee and the LL news isn't surprising to me. I just came to add to the Matt Bomer love. Like hunter, he makes me want to be a gay man. Not only is he hot, but I really admire the way that he came out on his own terms and didn't feed the machine.
Perez is supposedly all about the nice now. I wouldn't know, because I quit reading his site two years ago - not long after I found CDAN.
He and LL are two more reasons why I'll never watch Glee. I LOVE AHS, but I can't stomach Glee.

If it were someone else aside from you Pookie I would suspect someone oddly supporting a woman who has had more chances as a mole on the site. But I also think if she really REALLY wanted to change people's perception she wouldn't be one second late. In fact she should show up early and get people coffee. Seriously. And yeah Canada absolutely will not let her in the country. That's why they changed it to LA. Too many friends have told me how a former misdemeanor has derailed trips to the great white north.

I'm on Team Sherry for this one; I've also heard (and was surprised about) how Canadian immigration takes a dim view of work permit applicants' having convictions for any type of crime.
The show/studio *does* send a car. An actor supposedly desperate for work to restore her rep would have arrived early even for looping and pickups, shmoozed w/the cast and crew (and in her case, been *really* nice to the hair and makeup people, as bad as she looks). We're talking shaking babies and kissing hands, people.
First, it wasn't her first day or work, it was the second. It was for reaction shots. Second, she was about 5-10 minutes late. Not an excuse, and of all people Lindsay is the one person that should be on time, but the 5-10 minutes didn't actually hold up production.
C'mon dude, get it straight.

I thought Lindsay threatened to sue Glee if they didn't give her a part. In the Gwyneth Paltrow/Spanish teacher episode, she called Lindsay crazy.
Yea... I think it did have to do with the episode with Gwyneth on it, she threatened to sue and Lindsay should have taken the part seriously, it's obvious she didn't and she should have shown up early, imo.
