Do You Really Think Katie Holmes Is Pregnant?
When Star Magazine tried to pull the Katie Holmes is pregnant thing yesterday, it was never going to take. When a tabloid does the whole Jennifer Aniston is pregnant thing, people respond by buying the magazine because they want to believe it even though they know it is probably not true. When a magazine says Katie Holmes is pregnant, first of all I don't think people care that much whether she is or isn't, and I think it's fair to say that it is probably not ever going to happen again at least while she is with Tom Cruise. The surprise to me was the her rep so quickly denied it. Who cares. The rep actually seemed upset that Star would dare to publish something like that. It's a tabloid, it's what they do.
I think that if Tom and Katie could have another baby they would have already done so. When he was at rock bottom, don't you think he would have loved to pull out the baby card and get people on his side. But, he didn't. I'm still not convinced he can even have kids. I think I remember that Mimi Rogers said that Tom was unable to reproduce because of a childhood accident. I just find it fascinating that as soon as the women in his life leave him they get pregnant instantly.

I'm co-signing the Tommy Davis paternity guess that someone posted here last week. I would give credit where credit is due but I can't remember who it was. The resemblance is extraordinary, although he does resemble Tom Cruise so take that for what it's worth.
My theory has always been, from the moment I saw him jump on that couch on Oprah, that he knocked Katie up with some one-in-a-million, miracle sperm. You know, like that friend everybody has who was supposed to never be able to have kids, but it happened anyway and they were beyond shocked.
I think that's why he jumped on that couch like a crazy person - he finally had proof that his boys could swim!
That belly does look fake! But i believe she was preg. I do think Suri favors both tom and kate but im in the minority in that thinking! Lol
That's a good theory frufra. It could be she was his "miracle." I think the general consensus among gossip aficionados was that she was already pregnant with Chris Klein's baby when she met Tom, he assumed paternity because it was good publicity for him, she actually had Suri months before they claimed, then she walked around with a prosthesis (which would also explain the lack of weight gain everywhere else - she had already lost it), and that it why they waite so long to release any photos of her. The younger a baby is the easier it is to accurately guess the age. The waited until she was 9 months to let the world see her.
I always saw Tom in Suri's eye area. But then someone here pointed out the resemblence to Tommy Davis and I have to say I'm leaning in that direction as well. Davis does resemble Cruise. But in looking at Davis pictures I now see more of him in Suri. I also think Katie was pregnant, but some of those pictures look more fake than a spray tan.
And I can't help it. Everytime I see a picture of her, "idiot" comes out of my mouth.
I still think she was knocked up before they met. Tom and his wacky pack of $cientolofriends used those two weeks she went missing to brainwash her before he "proposed" in Paris.

Could be that Tom was just jumping on the couch cause he's coo coo for coco puffs. The "my boys can swim!" thing just went through my mind at the time. Because I know for a fact that's a big deal to dudes.
Tommy davis is an idiot. Why is it not possible for tom to impregnate her? Mimi rigers was joking with her 'interview' with playboy. Kidmans infertility problems are well known. Notice she had 4th child with surrogate. And if katie holmes us some sort of prisioner, she seems very happy about it, its her choice. To each his own. And she has said when she was little she liked having all her parents attention, and wouldnt hv another child to give suri same childhood. If thats bs, i dont know. And i hate the name suri!! I had to google Tommy Davis to check it out because I can see Katie in her, but not so much Tom. But Tommy Davis? The kid is his spitting image! Even some of his facial expressions!
Ha! I remember when that picture was taken. It does look super fake. I think the theory at that point was that she had already had Suri but was wearing a fake belly to make it look like she hadn't given birth yet.

I think Katie got prego with Suri from her ex boyfriend. I remember Tom was unable to father children. If she is prego now it would have to be by donor sperm.
Just two things. I remember this photo because it's so obviously a fake baby.
However, there is no way that VF photo of Suri is of a 9 month-old baby.
My theory is I think Suri was a preemie, but for whatever reason, they didn't want people to know, so they had Katie fake the rest of her pregnancy. Why? I don't know, (too much attention taken away from a movie or something?) but it would be an explanation for the fake photo.
Just a thought.
I think it would be great for them to have a second. I'm so grateful for my siblings and wish everyone could experience that. I know she has older sibs, but it's not the same as growing up with someone and doing all those mischievous kid things together.

She def. had Suri months before the public knew about the birth. April is not her birthday it's more like Nov. or Dec. Notice the puffiness/ weigh gain of Katie when she was for real pregnant even with a smaller belly

Yeah, was just looking at the VF photos - I don't think that's a nine month old baby, but the preemie theory is a good one. A preemie would of course look younger that other babies the same age.
I honestly think keeping a preemie birth under wraps makes sense. It's super stressful WITHOUT 24/7 papp stalkers.
One more comment before I stop putting off actual work - if the pic is indeed Katie with a fake belly, why on earth would you wear such a relatively short shirt? If I was trying to pull off a fake baby bump, I'd go for a little more coverage just for insurance.

Here's what I believe: Katie was definitely pregnant with Suri. Suri is not Tom's kid (sterile), Tom is gay, Suri may or may not be older (probably, don't know).

I never put much thought into the whole fake baby thing, just because those 2 don't interest me, but that picture above! So fake! The belly starts right below her boobs!
I guess she could have been a preemie and that was what they were trying to cover up. Scientology is big into birth trauma and the impact of the womb environment on the infant for the rest of their life - hence the silent birth. Perhaps they thought it would reflect badly on the church if the chosen one was a preemie...kind of like when you don't give a child with a seizure disorder his meds and he dies.
Just looked at those VF photos. I like the preemie guess. She's so tiny.
BTW both Katie and Tom look SO happy. That's the happiest Katie I've seen in forever. Maybe it was real for awhile?

I don't remember anything about a fake pregnancy/DOB, you guys are enlightening me... funny how I don't question it, I mean, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
I remember US magazine had pics of Katie in comparing belly's week to week towards the end of her pregnancy and it was so bizzare. One week she'd be huge, the next deflated and on and on. I always questioned the end of her pregnancy after seeing those pics. That stuck with me.
Couple of things about this.. to the commentator (too lazy to look it up now) who said Mimi Rogers was just joking about Tom being sterile... that's not really something someone "jokes" about. She may have later said she was joking but that was because Tom had Mimi blackballed and basically couldn't get any work until she did.
Second, everyone's forgetting to mention another contender for Suri's father... the one I actually do believe has the highest possibility of being Suri's biological dad.. William Mapother. The resemblance is uncanny and he just happens to be Tom's cousin.

i can't help but wonder if katie's pregnancy is now seen as the industry standard on how not to do it when you're faking a baby bump? beyonce and kelly travolta really did it much better.

Yes, Anne Archer is a big-time $cientologist. If I remember correctly, she raised Tommy in the "church." And, based on things I've read, he is a full-on, Kool-Aid-drinking, deranged COS rageaholic. Read some of the things Paul Haggis has written about him and his mommy -- good stuff!
I remember seeing that sequence of photos, Reno. They are what convinced me that Katie actually had the baby in early December, and they covered it up so they could pretend that Suri is actually Tom's.
Also, this photo is of the fakiest fake pg tummy to ever be faked. You'd think Tom could've paid for a better one. This just looks like she's shoved a medicine ball under her blouse.

The 3 or so month extension on Katies pregnancy was the most obvious I've ever seen. I always figured it was A) so the baby would be born when Toms movie opened and B) to cover the fact that Tom was not the father.

I thought it was common knowledge that Katie wore a prosthesis a for a few months after Suri was born, to coincide with the opening of Mission Impossible.

I'm fairly certain Katie's fake belly can more or less be reported as fact not gossip. I'm not saying she wasn't pregnant - she was, but she wore a fake belly for the last few months of her "pregnancy"

I have a fb friend whose belly looks almost exactly like that pic. Every woman's body is different. That said, there's no way Mapother or Davis or Cruise is the baby daddy, because she was knocked up before Tom every interviewed her for the position.
