I must be having a bad cognition day.
I don't understand how/why:
-Selling a home that *she* owns & "pocketing" the money is bad or even interesting. What's she supposed to do with the money? Give it to her boyfriend? Is it a secret that she's selling her house?
-Why her boyfriend putting a newly purchased house in both of their names is bad or interesting. Doesn't that happen ALL THE TIME?

This story is trying to make something out of nothing. I believe it is Daryl. The house she is selling is hers, so she should keep the money. Neil has filed for divorce, so if he chooses to buy a house and put his new girlfriend on the title that is his prerogative. Nothing shocking her other than Daryl would be interested in Neil.
How about if she has money and sells her house and he has money and if it's true love- they go halfsy on buying the house. That's the point. Because this divorce is going to cost him plenty, esp if he didn't have a prenup in place.
And good luck getting 4 million for that place but then again California is full of boomer hippies with more money than sense otherwise that house just needs to be gutted and start over the land itself is primo.

Interesting interview with David Crosby earlier this month in the Idaho Statesman. He comments on the longevity of his marriage and the announcement of Young's divorce. He says, "And I happen to know that he's hanging out with somebody that's a purely poisonous predator now. And that's karma. He's gonna get hurt. But I understand why it happened. I'm just sad about it. I'm always sad when I see love get tossed in the gutter." Pretty strong words.

Darryl Hannah does not need Neil Young's money. Her step-father was Jerrold Wexler, a zillionaire commercial developer in Chicago, Drake Hotel owner, and part-owner of Denver Nuggets. He died in 1992. It is hardly déclassé to sell your own home ... she knows the business, having learned it from her father.
The place she's selling is 17 acres! 17 acres with an ocean view in Malibu is worth $4mil for the land alone.
Um, separate property is separate property regardless of what form it takes - house, or cash raised from sale of house. There was no risk of Neil Young ever being entitled to a share of her house (palimony schmalimony) ... nor she of his. Even if they became common law spouses which takes about 7 years I believe. And even if a rich retired rocker wanted money from her when they split.
The only thing that might hypothetically be in play, and then really only if they got married and then divorced, is earnings during the marriage.

And lastly, I think what Enty is saying is directly related to some previous blinds from collective Enty about Harrah bleeding her men for money. She's selling her property so it never becomes community, yet pussy-hypnotized Neil into buying a $$$ property in both of their names. She has a track record of this behavior, according to the previous blinds.
But alot of people don't NEED money, yet are motivated by greed to be very geared towards acquiring more, more, more. HAVING money already doesn't necessarily have any relevance.
Have you seen how Neil Young look lately? I sure he is well aware that she in it for the money.
Daryl Hannah comes from a boatload of money, a lot more than Young has ever or will ever have in his life.
That's not to say she's clean, I'm just saying she doesn't need the money.
